ever wanted to create 3D looking text with microsoft paint, then you have found the right tutorial for you. see the example below.
Step.1
First of all open up Microsoft Paint, set your canvas size to suit the text you wish to make 3D.
Now using the Text Tool ![]()
Type your text that you want to make 3D. to change the font size or style click View | Text Toolbar if it is not already visible like the image shown in fig.1 below.
once you have the text in place using the Select Tool ![]()
Drag it out to suround your text see fig.2 below.
now turn on the transparency by clicking on the symbol shown in fig.3 below.
with the text still selected hold down your shift key on your keyboard and slowly drag the text down and slightly to the right see fig.3 below.
Once you have finished dragging the text out, using the text tool again type the identical text , this is going to be the face of the text you have just dragged out, so using the select tool, drag it around your identical text and using the mose move it in position to make the face of your dragged out text see fig.4 below.
Congratulations you have just created your 3D text with Microsoft paint,
you can play around with colours to make it look different lets lighten the solid colours on the dragged out text.
using the Colour Picker Tool ![]()
select the darker color on the top of the dragged down text, this will be your primary colour now double right click on a lighter colour, this will become your secondary colour that will replace your primary colour.
to replace the color select the Eraser Tool ![]()
you can mke the ersaer tool larger by holding down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and pressing the plus button on your numeric keypad the minus button on the numeric keypad will decrease it.
Hold down your right mouse button and drag the eraser tool over your text, you will see the darker colour is now being replaced by the lighter colour, see fig,5 below.
you can use the same technique to change the colour of the side of the dragged out image untill you are happy with the final result. you can even add a gradient look effect by doing the same.
